Purchase a qualifying clothes washer and you can use up to 40 percent less energy and 40 percent less water than with a conventional machine. That’s equal to saving 7,800 gallons of water a year. Energy-efficient clothes washers extract more water during the spin cycle, reducing energy use for drying and wear and tear on your clothes so they last longer. For clothes washers purchased on or after September 1, 2010
$50 incentive on models with a MEF of 2.0-2.45 and a water factor (WF) of 6.0 and below. Customer must have electric water heat.
$75 incentive on models with a MEF of 2.46 and above. Customer must have electric water heat.
For clothes washers purchased on or before August 31, 2010
$50 incentive on models with a MEF of 1.72 – 1.99
$75 incentive on models with a MEF of 2.0 or higher
