Rocky Mountain Power invites you to participate in the Home Energy Savings program. The Home Energy Savings program offers cash incentives to customers and contractors for the purchase and installation of energy-efficient heating and cooling equipment and services.

Cash incentives for you and your customers
Become a program qualified contractor and take advantage of financial incentives for the purchase and installation of high-efficiency central air conditioning and heat pump equipment, evaporative coolers, tune-ups on central air conditioning systems and heat pumps, and duct sealing services. Enjoy increased exposure by being listed as a program qualified contractor on our Web site.

Why should you enroll to be a part of the Home Energy Savings HVAC program?
1. Generate sales of your services and energy efficient equipment!
2. Save your customer’s money by saving them energy!

Who will be eligible for the consumer incentive?
Residential electric customers residing in the state of Idaho who purchase their electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on rate schedules* 1 or 36 qualify. Landlords who own rental properties served by the company in the state of Idaho where the tenant is billed on rate schedules* 1 or 36 also qualify for this program. (top)

What’s the difference between participating contractors and qualified contractors?
“Participating” contractors complete a contractor participation agreement and agree to Rocky Mountain Power’s terms for participating in the Home Energy Savings program. This includes – supplying proof of “installation certification” and agreeing to participate in a quality control process. (top)

Participating contractors will be eligible to do work on the following measures: (top)
• Central air conditioner and heat pump equipment install
• Central air conditioner and heat pump equipment – proper sizing
• Evaporative cooling equipment installation

“Qualified” contractors have been trained to provide installation and service measures to program specifications for central air conditioning and heat pump installation, duct sealing and central air conditioning/heat pump tune ups. Qualified contractors have agreed to Rocky Mountain Power’s terms for participating in the HVAC program and agree to participate in a quality control process.

Qualified contractors are eligible to do work on the following measures:
• Central air conditioner and heat pump equipment install
• Central air conditioner and heat pump equipment– proper sizing
• Central air conditioner and heat pump – proper installation
• Central air conditioner and heat pump tune-up
• Evaporative cooling equipment
• Duct sealing services

The heat pump equipment measure offers incentives for the purchase of high efficiency heat pump equipment.

The heat pump system conversion measure offers incentives for converting an existing electric heat system to a high efficiency heat pump.

The evaporative cooling equipment measure offers incentives for the purchase of program qualified evaporative coolers.

CAC and heat pump proper sizing (top)
     Customer incentive: $50
     Contractor incentive: $25

The air conditioning and heat pump proper sizing measure offers incentives for the proper sizing of central air conditioning and heat pump equipment. Equipment eligible for the proper sizing incentive must meet the 13 SEER minimum requirements for both types, but is not required to meet the 15 SEER/12.5 EER CAC requirement or 14 SEER, 8.2 HSPF, 11.5 EER Heat pump requirement for equipment.

CAC and heat pump proper installation (Contractors must be program qualified)
     Customer incentive: $50
     Contractor incentive: $75

The CAC and heat pump proper installation measure offers incentives for properly installing a central air conditioner or heat pump in an existing home to HESP requirements. Contractors need to be program qualified and attendance at program-sponsored training is required for eligibility. Contractors who have submitted a participation agreement and identified interest will be notified of training dates.

Note: If a contractor is currently PTCS™ certified in Heat Pump Installation, they may be eligible to participate before training is scheduled. Contact the contractor hotline for further information: 1-800-942-0287

Heat pump and central air conditioner tune-up (commissioning) (top)
(Contractors must be program qualified)
     Customer incentive: $100
     Contractor incentive: $25

Requirements:
The Heat Pump and Central Air Conditioner Tune-up (Commissioning) measure offers incentives for commissioning heat pumps and central air conditioners in an existing home to HESP requirements. Contractors need to be program qualified and attendance at program-sponsored training is required for eligibility. Contractors who have submitted a participation agreement and identified interest will be notified of training dates.

Note: If a contractor is currently PTCS™ certified in Heat Pump Installation, they may be eligible to participate before training is scheduled. Contact the contractor hotline for further information: 1-800-942-0287

Duct sealing
(Contractors must be program qualified)
     Customer incentive: $150
     Contractor incentive: $50

Requirements:
The duct sealing measure offers incentives for duct sealing existing homes to HESP requirements. Contractors need to be program qualified and attendance at program-sponsored training is required for eligibility. Contractors who have submitted a participation agreement and identified interest will be notified of training dates.
