New Home Ductless Heat Pump

Ensure the home qualifies:
- Home must be new construction, not existing home
Requirements for ductless heat pumps:
- Minimum 9.0 HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor), 16 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio)
- Work must be completed by a Program-Eligible HVAC Contractor listed on the Program-Eligible HVAC Contractor List. Please review our tips for hiring a contractor
- Ductless heat pump must be installed according to the specifications outlined in the California Technical Specifications Manual
- Ductless heat pump must be a new AHRI (Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute) rated ductless (mini-split) system and must be listed on the AHRI Certified Directory: ahridirectory.org
- Ductless heat pump must employ an inverter driven outdoor compressor unit and a variable speed fan for indoor blower and be fully ductless
Additional program rules:
- Mail all documents so they are postmarked within 90 days of the qualifying service completion date
- Ductless heat pump incentive is available to either the homeowner or the builder, not both
- Ductless heat pump must be installed within 90 days of purchase
- Incentive cannot exceed project costs
Required documents:
- New Homes Ductless Heat Pump Application, completed and signed
- Itemized receipt or contractor invoice
- AHRI certificate
- Third Party Payment Addendum for applicants who would like to forward payment to a third party not listed on the utility account

Requirements for whole home performance path:
- Work must be completed by a Program-Eligible HVAC Contractor listed on the Program-Eligible HVAC Contractor List. Please review our tips for hiring a contractor
- Work must be complete in accordance with the specifications outlined in the California Technical Specifications Manual
- Home must exceed California's 2013 Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Title 24) by a minimum of 15 percent
- The energy savings of the home will be demonstrated through the performance method using California-approved Title 24 compliance software, such as EnergyPro.*

New High Performance Manufactured Home
- Available for purchase from participating retailers
- Manufactured home must have:
- high performance envelope (i.e. insulation, sheating, windows)
- high efficiency heating & cooling system
- energy efficient water heating
- energy efficient lighting
- energy efficient appliances

Customer Eligibility
Residential electric customers residing in the state of California who purchase their electricity from Pacific Power on rate schedules D, DL-6, DS-8, DM-9 or NEM-35 qualify. Landlords who own rental properties served by the company in the state of California where the tenant is billed on rate schedules D, DL-6, DS-8, DM-9 or NEM-35 also qualify for this program. You can locate your rate schedule on your bill or by calling 1-888-221-7070. Incentive checks are only issued in the name of the Pacific Power account holder.
How to Apply
If the customer is applying for the incentive:
- At time project completion, customers should receive from their contractors:
- Completed and signed trade ally section of the incentive application
- Completed and signed technical worksheet, if applicable
- Itemized invoice/receipt and any other required documentation
- Submit all required paperwork and documentation to the program
- The home must pass an inspection before the incentive can be approved
- In the case of the missing information, please work with your contractor to provide any missing documentation back to the program
- Note the 90 days from service completion date postmark requirement
If the trade ally is applying for the incentive:
- Complete and sign the incentive application
- Complete and sign technical worksheet, if applicable
- Submit itemized invoice/receipt and any other required documentation
- The home must pass an inspection before the incentive can be approved
- In the case of the missing information, please provide any missing documentation back to the program
- Note the 90 days from service completion date postmark requirement
