Important! Rocky Mountain Power is making changes to HVAC incentives for Central Air Conditioners and Gas Furnaces, effective February 1, 2018.
Warm up to a high-efficiency gas furnace
Every furnace eventually runs its course. Performance drops, it takes forever to heat up, and then there are those mysterious banging noises. wattsmart Homes Heating and Cooling Instant Incentives make it easy for you to invest in new equipment and help offset the cost to upgrade to high-efficiency.
Qualified furnaces must be 95 percent Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) or higher with an Electronically Commutated Motor (ECM). These furnaces deliver efficient heating and cooling with even distribution, improved comfort, reduced temperature fluctuation and quiet operation.
Qualifications & Incentives
Equipment Purchases and Services | Customer Incentive |
---|---|
95% AFUE gas furnace with ECM | $150/ unit |
Ensure the home qualifies:
- Must be an existing home, not new construction
- Work completed must comply with all building codes and standards
How to get incentives
We’ve simplified the incentive processes and made it easier than ever to receive incentives on qualifying residential central air conditioners.
Step 1: Work with your heating and cooling professional to identify heating and cooling system upgrades at your home.
Step 2: Purchase qualifying equipment through a participating contractor or distributor, they will verify the installation location is eligible for an instant incentive and ensure your instant incentive is applied to your final invoice. That’s it, no additional paperwork is required from you!
Step 3: Enjoy increased comfort, air quality, and savings from your newly installed high-efficiency gas furnace!
Incentives are associated with the December 1, 2016 tariff filing approved by the Utah Public Service Commission. All incentives are subject to change with 45 days notice. Additional terms and conditions may apply.
Customer Eligibility
Instant incentives will be passed through at the point-of-purchase to contractors or customers purchasing equipment from participating distributors. Customers will be asked to provide their service address and email address to verify eligibility. To be eligible, the equipment installation address must receive electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on rate schedules 1, 2 or 3.
