Rocky Mountain Power invites you to participate in the Home Energy Savings program. The program, started June 1, 2007, offers cash incentives to customers and contractors for energy-efficient heating and cooling services.
Cash incentives for you and your customers
Become a program qualified contractor and take advantage of financial incentives for the purchase and installation of high-efficiency central air conditioning, evaporative coolers, tune-ups on central a/c systems and heat pumps, and duct sealing services. Who will be eligible for the consumer incentive?
Residential electric customers residing in the state of Utah who purchase their electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on rate schedules 1, 2, 3 or 25 qualify. Landlords who own rental properties served by the company in the state of Utah where the tenant is billed on rate schedules 1, 2, 3 or 25 also qualify for this program. (top)

Heat pump and central air conditioner tune-up (commissioning) (top)

Customer incentive: $100
Contractor incentive: $25
Requirements:
The Heat Pump and Central Air Conditioner Tune-up (Commissioning) measure offers incentives for commissioning heat pumps and central air conditioners in an existing home to HESP requirements. Contractors need to be program qualified and attendance at program-sponsored training is required for eligibility. Contractors who have submitted a participation agreement and identified interest will be notified of training dates.
Duct sealing (Contractors must be program qualified)
Customer incentive: $150
Contractor incentive: $50
Requirements:
The duct sealing measure offers incentives for duct sealing existing homes to HESP requirements. Contractors need to be program qualified and attendance at program-sponsored training is required for eligibility. Contractors who have submitted a participation agreement and identified interest will be notified of training dates.
Duct insulation (Contractors do not need to be program qualified*)
Customer incentive: $75
Contractor incentive: $25
Requirements:
The duct insulation measure offers incentives for insulating existing home ductwork that is in an unconditioned space. Contractors do not need to be specially trained or program qualified for the duct insulation measure. Existing duct insulation must be R-2 or lower. Incentive is for achieving an R-Value of R-6.
* Contractors do not need to be program qualified for the duct insulation incentive; however, they must submit a participation agreement before participation. Contact HESHvac@peci.org for a copy of the Rocky Mountain Power Home Energy Savings program participation agreement.
