If you are considering insulating your home through the program, please be aware that incentive levels changed effective June 2, 2009.
The approved insulation incentive adjustments are listed below:
For electrically heated homes
Home must have an electric heating system serving 80 percent of the floor area
· Attic insulation incentive adjustment from $0.35 to $0.30 per square foot
· Floor insulation incentive adjustment from $0.35 to $0.25 per square foot
· Wall insulation incentive is proposed to remain at $0.45 per square foot
For gas heated homes
Home must have a central air conditioner or a heat pump serving 80 percent of the floor area
· Attic insulation incentive adjustment from $0.35 to $0.20 per square foot
· Wall insulation incentive adjustment from $0.45 to $0.30 per square foot
· Floor insulation incentive is proposed to be no longer available for homes heated by gas
These changes to the incentives became effective June 2, 2009. Eligible customers with insulation installations completed on or before June 1, 2009, must submit a completed incentive application no later than July 31, 2009, to be eligible for an incentive equal to the original insulation incentive levels. Installations completed on or after June 2, 2009, are eligible for the revised incentive levels. Additionally, insulation installations completed on or before June 1, 2009, but submitted after July 31, 2009, will be subject to the revised incentive levels.
To assist timely incentive processing, please note the following requirements:
· The customer invoice must include documentation of the actual date of the insulation installation.
Verifications will be conducted to confirm the date of installation and levels of insulation.
Inaccurate dates or applications not containing the installation dates may be rejected.
· Revised applications are currently posted on the Home Energy Savings Web site. Please download copies of
this new application from rockymountainpower.net/hes.
