New Home Ductless Heat Pump

New Home Ductless heat pump $1,300*

*Incentive is available to either the homeowner or the builder, not both

Ensure the home qualifies:

  • Home must be new construction, not existing home

Requirements for ductless heat pumps:

  • Minimum 9.0 HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor), 16 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio)
  • Work must be completed by a Program-Eligible HVAC Contractor listed on the Program-Eligible HVAC Contractor List. Please review our tips for hiring a contractor
  • Ductless heat pump must be installed according to the specifications outlined in the California Technical Specifications Manual
  • Ductless heat pump must be a new AHRI (Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute) rated ductless (mini-split) system and must be listed on the AHRI Certified Directory: ahridirectory.org
  • Ductless heat pump must employ an inverter driven outdoor compressor unit and a variable speed fan for indoor blower and be fully ductless

Additional program rules:

  • Mail all documents so they are postmarked within 90 days of the qualifying service completion date
  • Ductless heat pump incentive is available to either the homeowner or the builder, not both
  • Ductless heat pump must be installed within 90 days of purchase
  • Incentive cannot exceed project costs

New High Performance Manufactured Home

  • Available for purchase from participating retailers
  • Manufactured home must have:
    • high performance envelope (i.e. insulation, sheating, windows)
    • high efficiency heating & cooling system
    • energy efficient water heating
    • energy efficient lighting
    • energy efficient appliances
  • Please contact the Home Energy Savings program for more information

Customer Eligibility

Residential electric customers residing in the state of California who purchase their electricity from Pacific Power on rate schedules D, DL-6, DS-8, DM-9 or NEM-35 qualify. Landlords who own rental properties served by the company in the state of California where the tenant is billed on rate schedules D, DL-6, DS-8, DM-9 or NEM-35 also qualify for this program. You can locate your rate schedule on your bill or by calling 1-888-221-7070. Incentive checks are only issued in the name of the Pacific Power account holder.

How to Apply

If the customer is applying for the incentive:

  • At time project completion, customers should receive from their contractors:
    • Completed and signed trade ally section of the incentive application
    • Completed and signed technical worksheet, if applicable
    • Itemized invoice/receipt and any other required documentation
  • Submit all required paperwork and documentation to the program
  • The home must pass an inspection before the incentive can be approved
  • In the case of the missing information, please work with your contractor to provide any missing documentation back to the program
  • Note the 90 days from service completion date postmark requirement

If the trade ally is applying for the incentive:

  • Complete and sign the incentive application
  • Complete and sign technical worksheet, if applicable
  • Submit itemized invoice/receipt and any other required documentation
  • The home must pass an inspection before the incentive can be approved
  • In the case of the missing information, please provide any missing documentation back to the program
  • Note the 90 days from service completion date postmark requirement
